Brown paper packages tied up with string...
These are a few of our favourite things.
Below you can find a list of selected few things which are on our to-buy list. By all means, we are not expecting wedding gifts and truly see your physical presence on our wedding day enough. However, we have had a few requests for ideas. Therefore, please see below some suggestions. Please look at the images as inspiration and ideas. When clicking the links, please don't see it as 'this one'. We have just tried to make it easy to find for you. Enjoy browsing our hobbies...
It is one of our dreams to move towards a fully sustainable way of living. But what is life without a little honey with your honey? One day we aim to buy some bees and a hive.
As I'm sure you are aware, we both love being outside and since moving to Scotland have found our interests blossom and grow. Though living space/storage is limited... we find it no harm in seeking to own our own equipment one day. From touring skis, electric bikes to anything that will keep us warm, in and out of the cold Scottish lochs and seas.
As with all romances, the way to our hearts is by our tummies. Here are two specific and special requests for our home kitchen... a large pestle with mortar. Slowly we are learning more and more about foraging, we've been looking into drying herbs, persevering and more. The one piece of equipment which would be a lovely wedding gift would be this. The other is an all-singing, all-dancing magic machine! (Just like mum). We would love a thing that does it all, kneads bread dough, cuts carrots and makes smoothies. Alternatively, we would also be happy with a matching kettle and 4 slice toaster.
If it isn't clear, we love our garden. Though time is short and we sometimes don’t have time for it, we do love it. Along with our vegetable patch, flower beds and rope swing... we just need a few extra bits and bobs. First up, some sort of seat and table. Gardening is hard work and always need a spot to rest and drink tea. Yes yes, rob has made us a beautiful bench... but our garden is large and we would welcome more furniture. Also in the garden, it's missing something odd but personal. Our garden needs some stone creatures to enjoy it with, naughty fairies, a Greenman and a hare. If you are feeling crafty, we would love a handmade garden ornament. Wood, stone or glass, something to handle the wheel of the year elements and seasons.
Finally, on that note of crafting. We feel a great wedding gift would be some sort of artwork or piece. Either your own or bought, a painted canvas or stain glass sculpture. Please see here that I have attached some art inspirations. We are in love with Scotland and would be grateful for some landscape paintings or photos. We love the style of old fashion informative collections and illustrations which can capture the magic of nature.
There you have it, some sort of wedding list. Apologies for the time it has taken to pull this together. The idea of asking for gifts does not sit easily with us. I would like to mention one more time, that your presence at our wedding, a dance with you, a smile and a cuddle is truly enough. Keeping in mind the travel and boarding for it... ha! We appreciate the time and effort gone into looking, and if the idea of a wedding gift is still on your mind. We would appreciate any form of donation towards either any gifts above, our wedding day, honeymoon or the buying of a home. However your choose, please feel welcome to talk to us or close members of the family to support ideas.
This is not a list, please see it all as inspiration.
Many thanks
